From the perspective of ISRC (for the recording) and UPC (for the release) there is NO difference between a traditional recording versus a recording produced in part or entirely by AI.
Whether the recording was made by humans (composers, musicians, lyricists) or by AI, it is still a recording that needs to be identified with an ISRC Code. Whether a release (Single, EP, LP, etc.)
that the recording is published on contains AI material or not, it is still a release that needs to be identified with a UPC code.
There is NO difference in the coding required.
What may be changing in the future is the Embedding of META data into audio/video files. There is discussion in the music industry to make disclosure of AI use a standard. While this PRESENTLY is not required, it may soon become a standard to notate inside the audio/video file if or to what extent AI was involved in the making of the recording. Again, at this time, that is
not practice. Files continue to be embedded with regular META data as always.
Unlike most audio files that we see, MP4 video files generally come to us quite clean of junk META data. It seems that video editing suites are less prone to insert junk data than audio mastering/transcoding software. One notable exception is ClipChamp. This video editor does insert a junk advertising tag and does so right in the comments fields that most people can readily see (even with the paid version).
Hence, if your videos were professionally created, you might be safe foregoing the cleaning/stripping prior to the embedding of the MP4 videos with the video ISRC, UPC, video title, artist, etc. If, however, you are unsure of how your videos were created, it may be safer to just strip them.

Absolutely! If you prefer to have us register your songs for you to be sure it’s done correctly, we are available to assist. Please call us at 404-869-0701 and ask about the Mediabase Registration service.
To get your songs ready for airplay tracking you will want to do 2 things:
As always, for best possible unique identification, your songs should have ISRC Codes (and, if they are single releases, also their own UPC Codes. If they are part of an album then the Album UPC is sufficient to be used for each in addition to the individual ISRC Codes.)
You should create MP3 versions of your songs and have them stripped of all artwork & ID3 META Data ready to upload to them. (Nearly 100% of files we see in our daily work have some kind of junk META data / incorrect information hidden inside them. Learn more – We can help!)
